Booking Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Nepal Adventure Point! Established in 1998 we are a family run company registered in Nepal under registration number 20305 with full license (License number 602) and permissions with the Nepal Tourism Board to undertake and organize any kind of trekking, mountaineering, tours and other adventure activities as scheduled by the Tourism and Industrial Division of Nepal.

The terms and conditions are very important information for members who are willing to book trips with Nepal Adventure Point. The terms and conditions contain the information to the client regarding the procedures of booking confirmation, payment & refund system, cancellation and other charges levied as per policy. You are suggested to read and understand it carefully before declaration of booking any packages. The booking terms and conditions constitute a legally required contract between Nepal Adventure Point along with you for the services to be provided by us and set out the basis of your legal relationship with our company. The details of our terms and condition are listed below:

Mode of payment: You can make the payment either by wire transfer or through credit card.

Note: Bank service charge should be paid by the clients themselves at the time of deposit.

Deposit Requirement: The deposit help us to make confirm reservation of hotels in city, domestic flight and all other trip arrangement for final trip booking.

A) Nepal Trips: For Nepal trips, you will have to make deposit of 20% of trip cost at the time of booking and the remaining 80% amount is payable upon your arrival in Kathmandu and before the trip departure from Kathmandu.

B) Tibet/ Bhutan Trips: For the booking of Tibet and Bhutan trips, you will make 40% of the trip cost at the time of booking and the remaining 60% is payable upon arrival in Kathmandu and before the trip departure.

Trip Cancellation (Nepal): In case you intend to cancel your trip for any reasons, you need to write it to us 30 days prior to your trip departure date. We shall approve it as cancelled only after receiving a valid written notice from the traveller.

  • If cancellation made before 30 days of the trip departure date, traveller will loss 30% from the deposited amount. It will be charged as cancellation and rest will be adjusted in their next trip.
  • If cancellation made before 15 days of the trip departure date, traveller will loss 40% from the deposit amount. It will be charged as cancellation, further will be same as above process.
  • If Cancellation made before 7 days of the trip departure date traveller will loss 70% from the deposit amount. It will be charged as cancellation.
  • If cancellation made within the week of departure or upon arrival in Kathmandu.No refund will be made of the deposit amount

Trip Cancellation (Tibet/Bhutan): In case you intend to cancel your trip for any reasons, you need to write it to us 30 days prior to your trip departure date. We shall approve it as cancelled only after receiving a valid written notice from the traveler

It will be charged as cancellation and remaining amount will remain secured with Nepal Adventure Point as a deposit from you. You can utilize it to book the tour withNepal Adventure Pointnext time.
  • If cancellation made before 15 days of the trip departure date, traveller will loss 60% from the deposit amount. It will be charged as cancellation, further will be same as above process
  • If Cancellation made before 7 days of the trip departure date traveller will loss 80% from the deposit amount. It will be charged as cancellation.
  • If cancellation made within the week of departure or upon arrival in Kathmandu. No refund will be made of the deposit amount

Liability: Nepal Adventure Point aims for the fulfillment of your every desire, in this connection; we perform our duties honestly and seriously to make your experience smooth and pleasant. However, this company will not take any responsibility regarding changes and alternations in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstances such as landslides, road blockage, flood, snow, and political-unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents. Any extra cost incurred thereof shall be borne by the clients on the spot. All clients are advised to take out their own insurance to adequately cover against medical and personal accident risk.

Passport and Visa: Traveller must carry a valid passport and have obtained the appropriate visas when traveling with Nepal Adventure Point. Please ensure your passport is valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. Nepal visa is available on arrival in Kathmandu airport. For Tibet and Bhutan, the company can make necessary arrangements upon request. For India, the client will have to acquire the visa from their own home country.

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is compulsory while booking any trip with us. Nepal Adventure Point would not be liable for any injury/health conditions/emotional or other conditions suffered by the client during the trip. Similarly, our package cost does not include any personal insurance. Hence, we advise the clients to take adequate insurance packages, including medical emergencies and evacuation by Helicopter.

All costs for emergency evacuation must be paid in cash in Nepal unless an insurance company has agreed to pay the costs on your behalf. It is important that any insurance policy issued to cover emergency evacuation for climb/trek/tour does not exclude alpinism or mountaineering.

Supplement Charge: On our trekking and tour packages, rooms or tents are provided in twin sharing basis. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed to client who does not have another tour participant to share room / tent with.

Unforeseen Circumstances: If Nepal Adventure Point cancels your trip due to unforeseen circumstances like war, natural disasters, conflict, unfavorable climate etc., we would be happy to refer you alternative trip of a similar standard. Even if this does not fit your personal interest, all monies paid by you to our company will be refunded. However, remember, any other expenses incurred by you because of this booking are entirely your responsibility.

Acceptance of Risk: We are committed to provide the best services by performing our duties honestly & seriously to make your journey very smooth & successful. However, Nepal Adventure Point and its related organization shall not be responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstance beyond our control such as govt. restriction, Land slide, road blockage, flood, snow political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay, sickness or accident and The nature of some of our trips is adventurous and risky as well, therefore may involve a personal risk. We would like to inform you that you have to take all risk on yourself such as damages or injuries or death resulting from these inherent risks.

Client is Responsible: A tour/trek guide who represents Nepal Adventure Point deserves all authority during your tours. If you commit any unlawful act, you are compelled to leave the tour. No refund will be made in such case.

Health & Fitness: All our Nepal tours and treks require a level of fitness, there for you should always check with your local Doctor regarding your health and fitness before you travel. It’s the client’s responsibility to notify Nepal Adventure Point of any pre-existing medical condition and/or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of you required medical attention, that may affect your ability to travel.

Flight Delay/Cancellation: Flight delays and cancellation are quite often during the bad weather condition in the remote areas particularly in Everest, Annapurna, Dolpo, Simikot and Jumla region etc. Therefore, it is advisable to carry some extra money to buy food and accommodations in case of delays. Nepal Adventure Point will not be responsible for any of the additional expenses. Therefore, please plan accordingly.

Important Note: Clients/Group must be in Kathmandu for three days prior to the tour departure date for Tibet Visa processing. Clients/Group details must be provided or form (that we will provide) must be filled and submitted six weeks before the tour departure date along with scanned copy of latest passport. (Passport must be valid for at least six months).

Your personal belongings: We are not liable for any damage or loss of your luggage or property. They are at your own risk.

Complaints: If you have complaints about the trip, you can tell to operator/leader/guide at the earliest opportunity then he will take the appropriate action.

Incomplete Tour: In case you commit any unlawful act during your tour and you are compelled to leave Nepal, Nepal Adventure Point is not liable for any kind of refunds.

Last minute booking: We even accept last minute booking. You can book a trip to Nepal 7 days prior to the trip departure dates. Last minute booking may not acceptable in case of Bhutan or Tibet trip.

Warning: Our terms and conditions are applicable only if you book your trip with us directly. If you book your trip with us through any agents or third party, you shall be liable to their terms and conditions.
