Overview

This adventure trip provides a complete overview of Nepal. We combine two popular treks in Annapurna and Everest region - undertake a wildlife safari in the Chitwan National Park and savor the delights of the Kathmandu Valley. During the trek through the Annapurna foothills we visit villages where many of the Gurkhas were recruited and gain vantage points to view the peaks of the Annapurnas that will undoubtedly whet your appetite for the Everest region. After undertaking a jungle safari in the Chitwan National Park we head to the Everest region to experience the legendary hospitality of the Sherpa people and gain views of Everest and a host of other spectacular peaks.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Tribhuwan international airport, welcomed by our representative and transfer to hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. A pre trip meeting and briefing will held all together with you at hotel about the daily program activities by company representative and your trip Leader/Guide where you can discuss your final questions all together.

After breakfast the day will start with a guided tour of Kathmandu's historical and spiritual key attractions; including the historic Kathmndu Durbar Square, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambunath) and then finally visit to Patan Durbar square which is situated the heart of the city constitutes the focus of visitor's attraction. In the evening there will be pre-trip discussion where you can meet your group leader/guide then you can ask any questions you may have.

Our guide pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the tourist bus station and drive approximately 6/7 hours to Pokhara (200km) through the beautiful river view & Nepalese countryside to reach the Pokhara. You will be arriving late afternoon at Pokhara approximately 2:00 O’clock and transfer to the hotel and rest of the time explores the surrounding lakeside areas. From the Pokhara valley you can see one of the most beautiful Himalayan panoramas in the world. The Annapurna and famous "Fishtail" mountain peak of Machhapuchhare tower over the tropical setting of Pokhara and you spend there will be the scenic highlight of your trip. You can also fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara which takes about 25 minutes.

While flying to Pokhara, you can enjoy the fantastic views of the lofty Himalayan peaks. After reaching Pokhara, a short drive of about 45 minutes brings you to a trailhead at Birethanti village. You begin your trek with an ascent along the left bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. You then follow a trail along the upper edge of terraced fields through Hille to Tikedungha. You drop down to the suspension bridge over the Bhurungdi Khola and then climb a long, steep and seemingly endless stone staircase that leads you to the village of Ulleri. You get fine views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.

As you ascend along the path that leads to a forest, you will find Annapurna South, hidden by a ridge. You trek through magnificent forests of oak and rhododendron. After crossing several crystal-clear mountain streams, you arrive at the village of Nangathanti. Another few hours of trekking through the forest, you reach Ghorepani. Ghorepani literally means "horse water" and is a popular watering spot for mules, which ply this route from Pokhara to Jomsom and beyond. A ten minutes walk takes you to a small pass and further to the village of Deorali. For proper acclimatization, you rest at Ghorepani.

Early in the morning you will climb about one hour to Poon Hill (3210m), here at sunrise you have magnificent views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Himchuli and Machhapuchchhre mountains. Back at the Hotel you will have breakfast and start your trek. You will climb to Gurung Hill, crossing pine and rhododendron forests with excellent views you will trek down to Deaurali (3190m), further trek down to Banthati (2650m). Passing Banthati trek down to the small river and climbing up the trail heads to Tadapani.

The trail descends steeply through the forest to Bhaisi Kharka. Then the trail further descends to a stream, crossing the stream the trail proceeds towards Ghandrung, a beautiful village where you can have excellent views of Annapurna South and also the headquarters of Annapurna Conservation Area Project.

From Ghandrung the trail descends to Chane (1690m) and to Kimchi (1640m). Following the ridge downhill to Kehone Danda then to Kliu (1390m) and on to a suspension bridge over the Sadhu Khola, finally arriving alongside the Modi Khola you will reach to Shauli Bazaar (1140m). Passing through the lovely birch forest you will get to Lamakhet and then to Birethanti (1100m). Walking about half an hour you will reach to Napa Pul than from Nayapul we drive to Pokhara.

You will proceed to your rafting destination on tenth day, i.e., to rafting starting point of Trisuli river. You will enjoy whitewater rafting in Trisuli River along with lunch by its side. Later that day, you drive to Chitwan to enjoy the flora and fauna of Chitwan National Park, the oldest national park in Nepal which is situated in subtropical inner Terai lowlands of South Central Nepal. In Chitwan enjoy elephant back safari, canoeing elephant ride and breeding centre visit, bird watching and see wild animals like rhinos, peacocks, crocodiles, deer’s etc. You will visit deep in the national park on elephant back. You will see one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger. After 2-3-hours of elephant safari, you can enjoy canoeing river. Later in the evening, you will enjoy Tharu cultural program. The next day, you will finish your tea/coffee rather fast because you will be going for bird watching. You can have the most thrilling and exciting wildlife experience of your lifetime in Chitwan National Park. You will be back to Kathmandu the same day.

We transfer to the airport then you have a scenic 35 minutes flight to Lukla (2800m) from Kathmandu. This was the airstrip built by Sir Edmund Hillary and his friends. On arrival meet your trekking crews and process to start trek to Phakding. The trail from Lukla leads you to Chablung (2645m) and it descends steeply to the Thade Kosi which is also known as Kusum Kangru Khola. Beyond the Thade Kosi Bridge, the trail climbs to Ghat (2590m) and again climbs to Phadking. In Phadking you can climb to the Gompa to see your first view of the high peaks.

From Phadking the trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and reaches Zamphuti. From here you can see excellent views of Mt. Thamserku peak then the trail climbs to Chomoa, the site of an agricultural project, an interesting place to have a look around and gain an insight into the farming way of life of these people. From Chomoa, the trail again climbs to Monjo (2840m) and enters the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park (1148sq km, established in 1976). Walking some distance up hill you will be at Jorsale (2830m) and after a long climb with views of Mt. Everest over the ridge of Nuptse (7879m) the trail reaches the street of Namche Bazaar.

From Namche Bazaar the trail climbs up and down to Sanasa where the trail descends gradually to Teshinga and then it drops steeply to Phunki Thanga. Climbing two hours from Phunki Thanga you will reach Tyangboche. Tyangboche is a religious place for the Sherpa people and the entire Solukhumbu area. Here you will see the Tyangboche Monastery which is one of the oldest monasteries in Nepal. Maybe you can get a chance to see the monks chanting and singing.

Trek goes down to the riverside at Fuki Tenga and steady climb through forest and continuous walk to Namche Bazaar. After Namche we walk down to the hill, cross some suspension bridge and reach monjo for over night.

After breakfast you will depart Monjo and continue your descent along the Dudh Kosi, you can walk at your own pace and enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village. Arrival in Lukla and you'll have time to stroll around the areas and guide will re-confirm your flight ticket and enjoy the last celebrate dinner with your crew member and overnight at Hotel. On arrival in Lukla you will have time to relax and celebrate the completion of your trek.

This morning you will be transferred to Lukla airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. Flights from Lukla to Kathmandu are mostly in morning due to impact of weather and wild blowing at Lukla airport. We take a Trans Himalayan flight back to Kathmandu by small aircraft and transfer to hotel. Free afternoon to be fresh up.

We allow a Leisure day in Kathmandu incase the flight from Lukla is canceled due to weather. If you are in Kathmandu we will take you on a guided tour to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one of the oldest cities in the valley.

After breakfast you will have some free time until the time to leave the international airport for your final departure.
