Itinerary

Arrive in Kathmandu: Upon arrival at Tribhuwan international airport, welcomed by our representative and transfer to hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. A pre-trek briefing will be given in the evening at hotel about the daily program activities by your Group Leader/Guide.

Today after breakfast we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks include the World Heritage Sites: the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swoyambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddhanath) which is one of the largest Stupas in the world. In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader and other team members. Nepal Adventure Point briefs us regarding our trek as well as provides us opportunity to ask any questions we may have regarding our upcoming adventure.

We transfer to the airport then you have a scenic 35 minutes flight to Lukla (2800m) from Kathmandu. This was the airstrip built by Sir Edmund Hillary and his friends. On arrival meet your trekking crews and process to start trek to Phakding. The trail from Lukla leads you to Chablung (2645m) and it descends steeply to the Thade Kosi which is also known as Kusum Kangru Khola. Beyond the Thade Kosi Bridge, the trail climbs to Ghat (2590m) and again climbs to Phadking. In Phadking you can climb to the Gompa to see your first view of the high peaks.

From Phadking the trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and reaches Zamphuti. From here you can see excellent views of Mt. Thamserku peak then the trail climbs to Chomoa, the site of an agricultural project, an interesting place to have a look around and gain an insight into the farming way of life of these people. From Chomoa, the trail again climbs to Monjo (2840m) and enters the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park (1148sq km, established in 1976). Walking some distance uphill you will be at Jorsale (2830m) and after a long climb with views of Mt. Everest over the ridge of Nuptse (7879m) the trail reaches the street of Namche Bazaar.

There are plenty of things to do around Namche Bazaar, and we can spend a day here acclimatizing. Namche Bazaar is the main centre of the Khumbu region and has government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, and a colorful market. Our guides can take us to explore the real charm of Namche Bazaar. Hiking to Sagarmatha National Park rewards trekkers with a sunrise view and the views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and so on. If we are interested in a day hike, we trek to Khumjung village (12401 ft)-a beautiful village with a Sherpa settlement. In exploring Namche Bazar, we observe traditional Sherpa life, Khumjung Hillary School, and enjoy flora and fauna found at such altitude

From Namche Bazaar the trail climbs up and down to Sanasa where the trail descends gradually to Teshinga and then it drops steeply to Phunki Thanga. Climbing two hours from Phunki Thanga you will reach Tyangboche. Tyangboche is a religious place for the Sherpa people and the entire Solukhumbu area. Here you will see the Tyangboche Monastery which is one of the oldest monasteries in Nepal. Maybe you can get a chance to see the monks chanting and singing.

From Tyanngboche you will reach the tiny village of Dibuche and after climbing some magnificently carved stones you will be at Pangboche (3860m). Walking the lower route from Pangboche and entering the alpine meadow you will be at Shomara. The trail then passes to Orsho. Beyond Orso the route divides to Dingboche/Pheriche (4260m). Pheriche is the windiest place of the Khumbu area; here you will find the Health post and Himalayan Rescue Association.

The trail ascends from Dingboche and after crossing some bridges you will reach Thukla. From Thukla the trail steeply goes up to the Khumbu glacier and drops a bit to the valley of Lobuche (4930m).

The trail from Lobuche progresses gradually upwards providing splendid views of Mt Pumori. In the afternoon you will reach Gorakshep which is surrounded by mountains. After lunch, we ready for our adventure to the targeted destination and we continues our hike towards the Everest Base Camp and to the Khumbu Ice-fall, the path from here can be misleading, follow the lead Sherpa, every year the trail changes due to the movements of the glacier, the walk is quite strenuous due to the high altitude and thin air, the walk passes through over rocky dunes and moraine and streams, till you reach the base camp. Everest Base Camp is lively with commotion during the high expedition season. It takes 2-3 hrs to get to base camp and after a grand time here retrace the journey back to Gorekshep for the overnight at lodge.

Early morning our journey continue steep climb to the Kalapatthar base camp top after 2 hour walk on our pace. After reaching the top, you will feel beaming as you achieve the moment that you been dreaming, since the beginning of the journey. Top of Kalapatthar is a small rocky peak on the southwest ridge of Mt. Pumori, the view from here is beyond imagination as the Everest looks amazing, the panoramic view from this spot is something to cherish, and you feel it’s worth the hard climb up to here and to feel at the top of the world, and can be seen to the south Khumbu glacier sweeps below you, and you can also see the Everest Base camp down below on the moraine of Khumbu glacier and lot of picturesque scenery. Re-track to Gorakshep and after the breakfast at Gorekshep we trek down to Dhugla then go straight up the hill from the bridge to reach an upper trail. Staying high above the valley floor, we pass the yak pasture at Dusa to a Chorten at the head of the Imja valley.

&nb

From Pheriche the walk is pleasant all the way to Tyangboche. After crossing the bridge our route descends following the stream towards Kyanjima village.
